Reptile keeping in New Zealand is becoming more popular year by year. Traditionally, keepers have had an interest in our native geckos and skinks, and have over the last fifty years built up a community of devoted keepers who are keen to provide both captive bred animals, and the expertise and experience, to enable future generations to keep the hobby alive, and progressing.

This website is a repository of information on the keeping and breeding of reptiles in New Zealand. It is intended as a resource for new or intending keepers, as well as a point of contact for established keepers, and a place where ideas on how to sustain and further our interest can be exchanged and shared. It is very much in its formative stages, and currently simply provides a basis for successful keeping.
